About James

Originally from the Cleveland area, James has lived in the Toledo area since 2007, and in the city itself since he and his family bought their first house in 2015. A big sports fan growing up, James turned that passion into a career in the sports broadcasting industry by first in high school and college writing sports articles for the school newspapers, some television work, and finally landing on the radio side of things. After Graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors Degree in Communications with a specific in the Broadcast/Journalism field, James started out with the Cleveland sports radio station, before moving to a online to a Cleveland sports site, even hosting his own show for a brief time. That work led him eventually to Toledo first at I Heart Radio (back then known as Clear Channel) to eventually Cumulus Toledo where you may or may not over the past decade, heard his voice gracing the airwaves of ESPN 100.7 (until recently 106.5) The Ticket.

Though enjoying his time doing what he loved, as well as getting married, raising a daughter, and living life in this crazy mixed up world of ours, James along the way did his best to keep informed of what was going on in the world. In doing so and seeing the continued injustices of the city, state, nation, and world as well as noticing the corruption that plagues all facets of our supposed citizen’s government.

It was with that in mind that a few months back, James decided to go to the Board of Elections and take out some signature petition sheets to try and do something about it, in whatever way possible, by trying to get on the ballot as an elected representative of the citizens. And that is really the whole point of all of this. We all have our opinions about what should be done to make the better policy in government for the benefit of the citizens, and that truly if one wants to see change, then be that change. After all how does the old saying go: ‘If you want something done right, do it yourself’. Anyone one of us can step up to the plate and make the change we want in our society, and it can’t just be by voting for President once every 4 years, one must get involved, especially at the local level. This is what we are attempting to do with this campaign and we hope you will join us on this journey!
